First of all, thank  you so much for presenting that article.  It is fascinating.  If in fact the tribulation does start in this next 7 year cycle, it would put the mid trib point at 2012.  I could be possible that the Mayans (weird though they were, but still descendants of Noah's) did understand how to calculate the times and some how knew that though God's wrath continues, it will again be like the flood, no others will be saved out once the rain begins to fall in earnest.
 
God's word is so awesome, He tells us everything in His word and then He equips some with the ability to put it all together for those of us a little slower in arranging things.
