When Abram went out of Egypt with his wife and family, and with Lot and his family. - Abram leaved Egypt, - but in Lot and his familys hearts and minds Egypt still lived , as we soon will see.
Abram walked with his flock to Bethel, to the altar he years back, have builded to Yahweh. the altar where he offered and pray to our Great God. Abram stand fast in his faith, - Bethel means: the House of God !
But there were problems between the flock of Lots, and the flock of Abrams, and God seperated them. He gave Abram inspiration to suggest a dividing between Lot and him. So Abram let Lot choice where he want to be, - and Lot in his greed (Egypt) - and because of what he could see with his eyes, -choosed the Jordan Valley with the towns of Sodom and Gomorah, - and later we see that he even lived in the town.
But Abram followed his heart and the will of God, and moved his flock and tents to Mamre, close to the Oaks, and far from the valley of Jordan, - the Lord took care of Abram in the rigth time, and hide him for the judgement (sodom-gommoreh).
And I believe, that He will take care of us in the rigth time, if we listen to the Holy Spirit in our heart, the silent voice of God, in the silent nigth time, or what He choose. And not only trust, and follow our own thougths, or what we can see with our eyes.
Remember Jesus words in John 14:1-3.v. in My Fathers house is many mansions, and I will prepare one for you, and then come and take you with Me, so that where I am, you shall be to. (if you cant see rapture here, then I think you shall ask the Lord for help to understand)
and the words in psalm 23, 27, 107, and in Matthew 8:11-12.v. and the prophetic words of Jesus to His Philadelphian believers. - I have opened a door for you no one can shot, because you have trusted in Me and My words - Rev. 3:7-13.v.
I believe in, that it also tells us something about how we will escape. - Remember that Jesus warned not only about the days of Noah, - but also the days of Lot, and especially the wife of Lot. - He warned about a selfish lifestyle, who would be dangerous for us.
And Jesus talked about a seperation between those who follow Him, and those following the world and their own will. - The seperation between Abram and Lot, its like the seperation between the church of Philadelphia and the church of Laodikea.
Lot maked his choice from selfishness and greed, and what his eyes saw, - but Abram maked his choice from what the Lord told him in his heart, So he walked with his flock to the place, the Lord have choosed to him. And when the judgement fall on Sodom-Gomorah. Abram and those belonging to him and to the Lord, were hide in a safe place, and nothing harmed them.
Also remember that the Lord told about the judgement to Abram before it happen, and Abram told the Lord what he mean and feel, but he trusted in God in all, - and then Abram only prayed for them !
Did the Lord not save Lot and his ? - oh yes He did, but like through fire, and they loosed all they have, - even Lots wife, - because she dont believed in the warning from God, and payed with her life for this rebellion.
Lets trust in our Great God, follow His will and not our own, lets be true children of Abram and Jesus, and trust in that Jesus could come any moment now, only the Allmeigthy know the Time.
All Glory and Praise to His Holy name, for His wonderful saving and redeemnings-plan through Jesus, His Son in flesh and blood. The Living Word from God, the Ligth to the World, the Hero from the Cross on Golgatha, our Great and Wonderful Saviour, Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
to you all, In the love from our Lord and Love, Jesus Christ, - Marana-tha, ybic, Jan Mikael ! - jami@paradis.dk
Genesis 13:1-18.v.
13:1 Abram went up out of Egypt: he, his wife, all that he had, and Lot with him, into the South.
13:2 Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.
13:3 He went on his journeys from the South even to Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai,13:4 to the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first. There Abram called on the name of Yahweh.
13:5 Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
13:6 The land was not able to bear them, that they might live together: for their substance was great, so that they could not live together.13:7 There was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram's livestock and the herdsmen of Lot's livestock: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite lived in the land at that time.
13:8 Abram said to Lot, "Please, let there be no strife between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are relatives.13:9 Isn't the whole land before you? Please separate yourself from me. If you go to the left hand, then I will go to the right. Or if you go to the right hand, then I will go to the left."
13:10 Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well-watered everywhere, before Yahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Yahweh, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.
13:11 So Lot chose the Plain of the Jordan for himself. Lot traveled east, and they separated themselves the one from the other.
13:12 Abram lived in the land of Canaan, and Lot lived in the cities of the plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.
13:13 Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against Yahweh.
13:14 Yahweh said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, "Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward,
13:15 for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever.
13:16 I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then your seed may also be numbered.13:17 Arise, walk through the land in its length and in its breadth; for I will give it to you."
13:18 Abram moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to Yahweh.
