Your experience reminds me of one
my cat and I had; he is now in Heaven.

His name was Summer-boy and when
he was very ill and having IV therapy
in the evening of  Feb.24, 2003,
I spoke to  him at length
about being with the Lord; I spoke
in proxy for his salvation. He listened
intently and watched me speaking to him.
He also knew, by the way, 34 phrases.

The next day,4:30 pm,  Feb. 25, he died in my
arms.  When he was dying, he looked
towards the wall and his eyes saw
something; I had been praying over him.
I sensed the reason why he reacted to
something not seen by me.

In March,  I learned from someone who
can speak to animals, and who did not
know him, that when he was dying he
saw Jesus and two angels, who
entered the room and said to him,
"Come now."  That is the moment when he
died.

 Prior to that, he knew it was
his time. When the vet called 30 mins.
before, to tell me that his blood levels
showed he was nearing the end, Summer-boy
jumped out of the chair when the phone
rang, and meowed LOUDLY, something he had
never done before. It was as if he knew
what the message would be.

{ Job 12:10  states that all living
things have souls  "In whose hand is
the soul of every living thing and the
breath of all mankind."}

Don't let anyone ever tell you that animals
do not have souls.. the MYRIAD  of stories about
what they have done for and with  humans, contradict that.
