Isn't it interesting when we accuse others of being childlike we ourselves have
little understanding of why we are the way we are? It doesn't take a genius to
figure out why some folks act the way they do. Yet all of us have things that
can haunt us and bring about certain character flaws that we may try to cover
up or ignore.
 
I think God uses the night time to bring these issues up. We have a disturbing
dream, sometimes God may give us a clue if we dare to ask him. Even some
difficult family issues could be solved if we would just listen and take
seriously what God shows us at night. There are hurts we all have hidden away,
ignored by the rational adult. Yet, a child that we were and still retain
inside struggles with them and has not come to grips with them. THis is why the
repetitious dreams come to us, because they are unresolved. I had an anger
issue for many years even after becoming a christian. It took a  special season
of study and a seminar to have this thing come forth. I asked God were it came
and he showed me exactly the moment it entered. I was 5 and I had cursed my
father for a severe punishment. A curse even as a child does not go away. I had
to repent of the savored hatred that allowed a spirit of anger to live. Anger
had also hurt others as a child which God reminded me of. And now as they are
adults I must ask forgiveness in such a way that they truly know I am sorry.
This is because they too are crippled spiritualy and emotionaly because of this
sin I retained. They may not appear so, but God can reveal the hidden.
Confession and openess with God is what heals us and our families. God does not
forget even if we do, God does not ignore even though we do. This is why God
bugs you at night.
 
God wants us to deal with the hard issues and hurts that we hide inside which
cripple our christian relationship, or lives and those around us, like family.
It is painful but God wants us to be clean and healthy children of God. He must
break through the barrier of are reasoning away adult minds, so he bypasses it
by speaking to us in dreams.
