"re 4th commandment being
greatest, self induced visions."
Forgive me, I did not write clearly. What Ellen
White, the 7DA prophetess from the 1850 era states she saw in her
vision was that the greater light shown on the 4th commandment. Meaning
that the 4th commandment is the greates commandment, not the first!. So
anyone who does not honor the Sat, Sabbath is an apostate because they
follow satans trick of worshipping on Sunday, according to Ellen. She also
implies that Sunday worship is the mark of the beast. She stated that Jerusalem
would never be rebuilt. She states that hell is not eternal and many other
things that are contrary to what has happened and what it states in the
bible.
The point is that when we have a subject that we are
concerned about we may have a vision that seems to indicate what we desire.
So my point is tha some of the visions are contrived in our mind by the
pressure of this desire. Thus we have dreams of dates and such that don't
seem to occur. This came to mind when I studied Ellen White and her long
extended dreams that have a mixture of scripture and her interpretaion
of what it means. This is how 7DA see the bible, through her dream interpretations.
I think the reason why 7DA fall for this kind of thing
is becuase her dream interpretation is more appealing to them then what
it plainly states in the bible. Such as hell is eternal, Isreal will be
regathered and Jerusalem will be the center of world conflict. But mostly
I think they want something to hang their hat on. Something easy which
the Jews tried but never worked for them. That is the Sabbath, they may
have set aside the sabbath but they did not set aside their hearts. The
hard part is listening to God directly and totaly trusting him, entering
his rest. We allways want someone elso to do that, like the pastor or a
prophet or prophetess. Plus it is a pride issue. See I follow the bible
better than you. God did not reveal it to you because you are really not
his. That kind of a thing.
