"evangelical greed controversy"
Thanks to Eric for his even handed reporting.
It's nice to think that there are those who will
defend Christians no matter what the evidence.
We can find scriptures to defend those in the hot seat.
But like Paul, the apostle to us gentiles said in TImothy, gain is not
godliness, please don't be deceived. We seem to forget the scripture that
judgment begins in the house of the Lord.
We are warned that even lucifer can appear to be an angel
of light.
There are fraudulent ministers out there who are only
in it for the money no matter how sincere they APPEAR to be.
So for this reason Christians and the name of Christ
are being mocked. There are many many scriptures that warn that this type
of thing will happen. The harshest judgment awaits those who are deceptive
with there christianity. One of the problems is that we who live in modern
countries have incorporated the world system into our faith, we have become
confused and weak spiritually because of this. We have become too much
like the world and now share the same problems.
Please don't excuse out right fraud. The ones who are
not dishonest will be vindicated. THose who are deceptive
will be made evident. Hopefully those who are deceptive will repent or
they may spend jail time like Jim Bakker had to. THat was for his salvation
and it worked.
