Hi John & All:
 
The reason I like to post my material here at Five Doves, is because I believe it to be the premiere Christian site in the world, in terms of both fellowship, as well as spiritual growth, insight and discernment.
 
While I might on occasion check out postings on other Christian forums (not at all that often), nevertheless I only post my writings here at Five Doves. The big reason for my decision in this regard, is that most Christian forums are of the post-what-you-want-when-you-want variety, with a lot of "stuff" presented that I find to be very questionable, and with which I strongly disagree.
 
On Monday night I submitted my story on the Jim Jones parody, to John, so it could be posted on Tuesday's board here at Five Doves. Within an hour or so of it appearing here, someone "lifted" it, paraphrased it, and then presented it as their own insight at another forum.
 
Although material, such as the names of these people, are in fact within public domain, nevertheless when it is presented within a certain context, it is legally regarded as original material. Lifting it without prior consent of the author and presenting it as your own original thought, is called plagiarism (i.e. stealing).
 
Please respect my request to not lift my contributions to Five Doves, and post them at another site. I would especially ask that you not paraphrase my writing and present it as your own idea at another website.
