I would like to thank Dawn Olin for her thoughtful input regarding this matter of the televangelists. God bless you, sister.
 
If I might address just a couple of points --
 
The two posts I wrote over the previous couple of days (and prior to that), are not based on the media -- which I agree can be askewed. The facts which I've presented were based on information which was or was not available on their websites (the ministries involved). Additional information came from a public interview by one of the ministers, on national television. Further information in the case of Richard Roberts, was derived from both a press release put out by Oral Roberts University, and Richard Roberts himself.
 
Secondly, I have no problems with putting a watch out over what we write, for indeed it is seen and read in the four corners of the Earth. The one issue we might not agree upon, however, is whose standards do we go by? If we are going by God's standards, then what of those individuals over the years here who endlessly put out the latest word, dream or vision alleged to be from the Lord ... but which have not once ever proven true? What about all the definite for sure (failed) rapture dates, based on an alleged word from God that later gets explained away as a "misunderstanding", or for which the offender just packs up and disappears?
 
Just as a side note, if I may inquire. In your post of yesterday, you have said one of the doves stated that the ministries "... needed to cooperate with the investigation ...". Would you please clarify to whom you are attributing these words? The quoted phrase was not in my posts, and neither was it in any of the posts written by Ellen Gonzalez, who first raised the issue. Was it something someone actually said, or something you think sounds like what someone may have said? There's a difference twixt the two.
 
By the way, I have nothing against any of these ministries, and if they come out of this clean -- hallelujah!
