MOUNT OF OLIVES - POINT OF RETURN

In my letter on Psalm 60 I commented that 'He is returning to Calvary - the hill of His death and humiliation, the place where His blood flowed.'  While standing in church yesterday I realised ('oops') that this was not so.  As I always try to be true to His infallible Word I would like to correct this - as stated in Acts 1:11, 2 He will return to the Mount of Olives (the Bethany side), not Calvary.  Zecahariah also makes this clear in 14:4  'His feet shall stand in that Day upon the Mount of Olives.'  Interesting though that Gethsemane is on the Mount of Olives - this will be the greatest transition from the agony in the Garden to the ecstasy and brightness of His coming (almost 2000 years apart).  In Australia we are going through the transition to a new government - how wonderful will be transition to His government!  Maranatha
