Room?

Eliza Hewitt was the author of such well-known Gospel songs as "Victory
in Jesus" and "When We All Get to Heaven." In 1912, she penned a hymn
entitled "Room for You." Though seldom sung today, it stresses a
wonderful truth, that Jesus always has room for us in His heart, in His work,
and in His eternal home:

Room, room, room for you,
In the heart of the Savior above;
Room for me, room for you,
Come, rest in His wonderful love.

The question that lingers after Christmas is: Do we have room for Him?
One of the mysteries of the nativity is why so many people missed it
when it happened right under their noses. Even the innkeeper turned away
the holy family, forcing them to seek refuge in a stable.

Let's end the year on a high note! Make room for Jesus in your heart,
your schedule, and your priorities. He has room for us; let's make sure
we have room for Him and that He rules supreme in every "room" of our
lives.

Oh, come to my heart, Lord Jesus; there is room in my heart for Thee.
