"re: the request to  Please Pray!!!!!!!!  Thank you! ThankYou!"

This is the latest report I received from my daughter-in-law, Sharon about her mom and sister.  Please continue to pray for her and thank you to all of you who prayed.  The enemy is defeated and Jesus is the victor.

Much love,

I just wanted to let you all know that my sister is doing better from what I've been told.  She is still in the hospital and heavily medicated to help control the pain but it seems they are saying now that at least there is no infection, her body is just reacting in a way that they call surgical trauma (seeing how she had 3 surgeries opening her stomach completely up all within a few weeks time).  And the inflamed pancreas is just a result of this surgical trauma and it should just go away with time.  Still not sure why she got sick and ended up dehydrated but at least she seems to be on the mend.  Thank you soooooooooooo very much for all of the prayers!  Please keep praying.  It is a very trying time for her and her family.

I've shared a lot of the encouraging emails that have been sent with my mom and she says thank you!

I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family, you are all such a blessing, I love you!

Thank you so much for praying for my mom and sister!

Love,
Sharon

Subject: Please Pray!!!!!!!!

I can't think of a short way to tell you this so here it goes. It's alot of information in as short of a way as I can put it all.

Please pray for my sister, JoEllen and for my mom.

My sister is back in the hospital.

Two years ago next month my sister ended up with what we thought was the flu to start with.  She was almost 8 months pregnant at the time.  It turned worse and she was sick for more than a week and ended up very dehydrated.  She ended up in the hospital for the first time.  She ended up staying there for almost a month.  They never could decide what to diagnose her with, it wasn't just dehydration once she got there and they saw all of her symptoms (which I won't go into detail with as they are pretty gross).  It was either crones disease or ulceritis colitis (sp??).

They were finally able to get her problems under control and send her home two weeks before Christmas 2005.  She was home for Christmas but ended up back in the hospital right after the New Year 2006.  She ended up staying for almost two months this time and was released a week before she went back in at the end of February to have her baby boyWho by the wonderful grace of God was born healthy and strong!  She stayed in the hospital almost a week after he was born and she went back home.  She was able to stay home for five months but ended up back in the hospital 6 months later again for what they finally decided was ulcertise (sp??) colitis.  She stayed for almost a month again.  After that she has been home from the hospital with at least weekly visits for treatments and check ups and tests.

Now last month (October 2007) a little over a year later they finally decided she needed to have her large intestine removed.  She had that surgery and a few days afterwards they discovered something they did wasn't quite right so they took her back in for surgery again (before she ever even made it home) and repaired the problem but also found another problem while they were in there (again sparing you the details, trust me they aren't pretty).  Then two weeks later she got to go home.  Only to turn around and end up in the hospital two days later.  They took her in for surgery again.  She then stayed in the hospital for almost another two weeks.  She was home for a little over a week and I received a call from my mom today saying they took her back into the hospital last night.  She somehow has ended up severely dehydrated and now has an inflamed pancreas from what they call a 'superbug' and some infection that is causing the inflamed pancreas and they are having trouble controlling her pain due to her dehydration.  And for some reason her body even though she's had iv's trying to hydrate her for almost 24 hrs she isn't hydrating.

My heart is just breaking for her.  She has been away from her husband and little boy now for almost two months (just this time) and it's breaking her heart.  Along with all of the physical pain she has been going through, she is really struggling.  She is a christian but is struggling so much right now.  Please pray for a miracle for her!

And my mom......... my sweet mom......  My heart is breaking for her too.

In June of 2002 her husband, my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and went home to be with the Lord two months later August of 2002, it was very fast and a hard loss for us all, ESPECIALLY my mom.  There are five of us children.  My mom then moved in with her parents (all of us kids are grown, my little sister is the baby of the family) as her mom (my grandma) was struggling with emphysema and needed in home care.  So my mom was working full time at a bakery and would go to work at 3:00 in the morning and be home before lunch time to take care of grandma (and grandpa who was having the beginning symptoms of Alzheimer's).  Grandma went home to be with the Lord one year and one month after my dad in September  2003.  Mom stayed living with her dad and working full time and taking care of her dad until March of 2006 when grandpa went home to be with the Lord.  Then 8 months later was when my sister was hospitalized for the first time and you know the rest of the story from the paragraph above about my sister.  My mom is still working full time and is either at my sisters house almost everyday or running my sister to one of her MANY doctors appointments.  Or staying with her at the hospital if that's where my sister is.  My mom is a saint and will do anything for her family as you can tell.  I just pray that the Lord will sustain her and give her health and encouragement.  And peace through all of this that only He can fill her with.

Please, please, please pray for my mom and sister!

Love,
Sharon
