"Correction: The Rod of Aaron is about to bud..."

Doves,

On December 18, 2006, I said something that was incorrect.

http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/dec2006/wadeb1218.htm

I said:

It turns out that Hadassah is a descendant of Joseph through Rachel…

That is incorrect.  I knew there was a Rachel connection, but I had misread an article on Purim that talked about Esther being a descendant of Rachel the mother of Joseph.  Although that is correct, I thought it was saying she was a descendant of Joseph which it did NOT say.

Hadassah is a descendant of Benjamin.  If she is partially from Joseph through the marriage between the tribes, we have no record to prove either way.

Est 2:5  [Now] in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name [was] Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;

What the article was talking about was that all three were masters of concealment which is central to the Esther story on Purim.

However, there is still a connection between Esther, Joseph, and Hanukah.

At Hanukah, there is a reading about Pharaoh’s dream that caused Joseph to be released from his prison.

Gen 41

Believe it or not, some of the Jewish commentators would make some fine Bible teachers if they should get saved.  I will quote from one:

http://torah.org/learning/parsha-insights/5757/miketz.html

The parsha begins, "And it was, mekaytz, at the end of two years, and Paroah dreamt". The medrash says, "kaytz, an end limit, was set for the darkness, an end limit was set for Yosef's imprisonment. Once that time was reached, Paroah had his dream." The Beis Halevi explains that the medrash is teaching us a very powerful message in viewing life's events. We would superficially understand the cause and effect of the parsha's events as follows. Paroah's dream, was the cause of Yosef being released from the prison. The same way that we would view a person who made a certain investment. If that investment would prove to be lucrative, we would say that the investment was the cause of his wealth.

The Beis Halevi explains that this medrash is teaching us the correct perspective. There was a set time, two additional years, that Yosef was meant to be in prison. The cause of his release was that time having been reached. This cause triggered that min hashamayim, from the heavens, something had to happen to bring about that release. The result of this cause was Paroah's dream. "An end limit was set for Yosef's imprisonment. Once that time was reached, Paroah had his dream." The dream didn't cause the release It was rather the release caused the dream. The investment didn't cause the wealth. Min hashamayim the time had come for him to become wealthy. He, therefore, made that investment.

Gen 41:14  Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved [himself], and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Please know that we are all getting our hopes up about 12/22/2006.  We all want to ultimately be with our Lord.  However, I believe that God needs to bring his “Joseph” or “Josephs” out of prison and give him a place of authority before the bothers of him are reunited.

1776 = 222 x 8 or 888 x 2.  This was the year of our nation’s birth.

April 1, 33AD Gregorian = At Midnight, Jesus was betrayed and crucified. (April 3, 33AD Julian)… Hence,…April Fool’s Day.

4/1/33AD + 2000 x 360 days = 7/17/2004 + 888 days = 12/22/2006.

Midnight 12/22/2006 (minus) 2 x 360 days = Midnight 1/1/2005.

Therefore on 12/31/2006 at 11:59:59.999 will complete exactly 2 years from 12:00:00AM 1/1/2005.

12/31/2006 is the Fast of the 10th of Teves.

The Fast of the Tenth of Teves marks the day that Nevuzadran, the Babylonian general, laid siege to Jerusalem prior to the destruction of the first Holy Temple. The siege lasted almost three years until the city walls were breached and the Temple was destroyed.

So who knows what shall happen… we have some dates that are in line with Jewish dates of notability.

Also, when I am saying Aaron’s rod is about to bud, I am simply referring to the priesthood and the royalty.

We shall soon see.
