"Christmas Eve, the Rapture, and the Second Death - Comments on Wade Balzer Dec. 15th"

Wanted to say that I, and I am sure others at the Doves, can relate to Wade's first sentence, which includes about being, "fairly quick to spot a pattern" and the events that I would anticipate, don’t seem to play out the way I had “hoped”:

Noticed the statement that helped lead Wade to December 22nd:

On 11/14 as I filled my tank, I was again prompted to NOT reset my odometer until the end of December.  My odometer said, 122.4, and it reflected a verse that I just been looking at earlier.

Joh 12:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Noticed John 12:24 could be pointing to the 12th month and the 24th day, the night before Christmas.

(Also if we are looking at midnight, the time of the Death Angel, this can be represented as both the 12th hour of the afternoon and as the 24th hour of the day.)

The two most watched dates this fall for the Rapture, (speaking at least for me):

9/23/2006 - Rosh Hashana
11/8/2006 - 17th Day of the 2nd Month - Noah

Which besides pointing to the obvious 40 days after the 17th Day of the 2nd Month, points to the waiting period between these two dates.

9/23/2006 + 46 days = 11/8/2006

And continuing this pattern:

11/8/2006 + 46 days = 12/24/2006

Whether we figure out this pattern or not, the World knows this date as Christmas Eve and should the rapture occur on this date it will be associated with Christians.

Notice from Vincent Tan's last encounter with the Angel on 12/23/1993, 13 years will have ended and the 14th year begun.  Jacob worked 14 years for his wife Rachel, although they seemed like a short time because of Jacob's love for his wife.

Conversely, exactly 6 years, with the number 6 standing for satan and his influence, (from the book, The Arithmetic of God), will end on 12/23/2012, the date the Mayan's have as the end of their calendar, and by pattern, the world.

Back to the pattern of 46 days:

According to the book, The Arithmetic of God, 46 stands for "second death".  This phrase is found exactly 4 times in the Bible, (4 is the number for flesh), all in Revelation.  The Christians who have already experienced the "first death" will rise first in the Rapture.  Then we who remain will be caught up in the clouds.  We will not experience the "second death".  The four scriptures are:

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.  Revelation 2:11

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.  Revelation 20:6

(The first resurrection is at least included in what we term the rapture, although we, being alive, tend to focus on those that remain and are caught up after those that have died the physical, first death, are resurrected.)

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  Revelation 20:14

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.  Revelation 21:8

Notice that the first time "second death" is mentioned is Revelation 2:11 which is preceeded by Revelation 2:10:

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  Revelation 2:10

Does this not link the "ten days of tribulation" with those that "shall not be hurt of the second death".  All those that have experienced the first death that will be raised shall not be hurt of the second death.  Does this not even more strongly hint of the rapture to be followed by "ten days of tribulation"?

I was also encouraged by Lisa Taylor and her statement of believing in a 10 year time frame between the rapture and the end of the Tribulation, although coming to this conclusion with apparently other analogies:

Not including the main two I think point most strongly, that being Revelation 2:10 above, and the 10 days of awe between Roch Hashana and Yom Kipper, (which from the 1st to the 10th of the Tishri is actually 9 days, which counting the year 2006 as the 1st, would make 2015 the 10th, but 2006 is barely still with us.)

Shalom,
