The EU is really pushing hard to station its troops inside of Israel to try and keep the peace.  The latest news is from Italian PM Prodi who asked a Knesset Minister to allow Italian forces into Gaza and the West Bank.  He further sweetened the deal by stating that he is also trying to get Syrian Assad to agree to Italian forces on the border of Syria and Lebanon to further stem the tide of arms to Hezbollah.  Three times this past month various proposals have come from EU nations to station troops inside of Israel to "help" with the peace.
