"Star of Bethlehem-Mercury, Mars, Jupiter in Scripture"

Greetings,

Part 1: Mercury, Mars, Jupiter Conjunction

This is the first part of a series of postings on the role of the conjunction of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter in the Star of Bethlehem

I want to give some scriptural evidence that the conjunction of Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter on August 26th, 2bc were an important part of the Star of Bethlehem. These planets do indeed conjunct from time to time, so the reason this particular conjunction was important was for these reasons (each with scriptures):

They  all peeled off, one by one, landed on Virgo’s head, and traveled down at least part way down her body. This was what Lev 21:12 says was supposed to be done to the high priest:

Lev 21:12 ‘for the crown of the anointing oil of his God’

–        the anointing of a KING!

This conjunction is spoken of in Revelation in an amazing way in Rev 8:13, the context of which was this – in Rev 8:12, the 4th angel had just sounded his trumpet and smitten the earth. Then Rev 8:13 says this:

Rev 8:13  ‘I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, ---- Woe, woe, woe, ----  to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of --- the three angels ---, which are yet to sound!’.

Here are 3 WOES, being viewed in one phrase. The 3 angels are symbolized in the stars by the conjunction of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter. The deeds of these 3 angels (each with a trumpet and called ‘the 5th angel, the 6th angel, and the 7th angel) are then detailed in the next 3 chapters, Rev 9 to 11. Followed by Rev 12:1-2 which is the most popular verse describing the celestial events known as the ‘star of Bethlehem’.

Why was ‘the star of Bethlehem’, a past event, spoken of in Revelation, which mostly speaks of future events? Well, I believe it is because the ‘star of Bethlehem’ will return in the future. Jesus came once, he will come again:

Acts 1:11  ‘…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner. …’

By the way, Acts 1:10 says  that 2 men (angels) told the apostles this. 2 angels were there during Jesus’ first coming, and I suspect they will be there at His second coming. Hence we have 2 angels and JESUS --- symbolized by Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter. Each of these, I will cover separately and show why I think:

-         Gabriel is symbolized by Mercury

-         Michael is symbolized by Mars

-         Jesus is symbolized by Jupiter

The first time these 3 supernatural beings came, they were ‘lambs’ so to speak; the second time, however, when these 3 beings come, they will be LIONS, so to speak; hence, they will bring 3 WOES to earth.

In future parts of this series, we'll look at each of the 3 planets individually.
