Rev 12:3,4 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a
great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns
upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the ----stars---
of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:...
Rev 12:7,9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought
against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, ..And the
great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and
Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the
earth, and his ----angels--
- were cast out with him.
stars...cast them to the earth ... angels were cast
stars...cast them to the earth ... angels were cast
stars...cast them to the earth ... angels were cast
Stars are thus equated with angels.
It is, of course, symbolism.
Michael and Satan are 2 of the angels mentioned here. Hence, they are
2 of the 'stars'. Hence, I would expect to find these in the
planetary computer program as well. Professor Newman, says:
see: http://www.ibri.org/Papers/StarofBethlehem/75starbethlehem.htm
"26 August 2 BC. A close conjunction of Jupiter and Mars
(war) in
Leo, with Venus and Mercury also in Leo, and the Sun in Virgo. Martin
suggests this sign may mean these events will lead to war. "
What Prof. Newman calls 'war', I call the star of Bethlehem.
Prof. Newman does not identify which of the planets is Satan and
which is Michael. I think Rev 12:3 gives us a 'clue' which planet
represents Satan, for it says:
"a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns"
Saturn, as you may recall, has 7 rings/heads and 10 moons/horns.
Satan, then, is symbolized by Saturn... satan = saturn
They have close spellings.
I believe, for reasons to lengthy to go into right now, that Michael
is symbolized by Mars. And so it is, that on Passover, 1ad, that Mars
(Michael) and Saturn (Satan) are close to each other in the
constellation Gemini.
