Heaven - bus driver and preacher

'Tis the season for travel. More people travel between the weekend before Thanksgiving through the weekend after New Years Day than any other time of year.

When I drove for Greyhound during my first years of declining health, we had fun on the bus. I pointed out places of interest along the way, we played games, and, of course, I told jokes (nothing like a captive audience).

One joke I always included was about the bus driver and pastor at the Pearly Gate. Saint Peter took them to their new homes. The bus driver had a mansion which was beautifully landscaped. The pastor had a small, typical, old mid city type house and asked why so much difference. St Peter explained the pastors sermons had been boring and some people even slept, but when the Greyhound driver drove, people learned to pray.
