"Evangelizing in the devil's backyard"

Dear friends:

The below is an update from friend Christine Darg who ministers throughout the world, especially in the Middle East among both Jews and Muslims.

I have said before that Christine is so bold and fearless in the Spirit that if possible she would organize an evangelistic tent meeting in hell.

The below is a report of her recent meeting in Ramallah amongst Palestinians, the Palestinian city where Yassir Arafat was headquartered.  She dares to do the impossible for the Lord, an He honors her faith and obedience.

To get on Christine's mailing list, write her at christine.darg@btinternet.com.  See her Web site at http://www.olivetree.org.

Dearest intercessors,

We bless God for all of your prayerful support in 2006 and we rejoice
that as we enter 2007, Believing for Miracles from Heaven, the Lord
of the Harvest will be with us in troublous times to preach the
Gospel more boldly than ever before.

Ramallah, meaning the "high place of Allah," was once a covenant
altar of Yehovah, Rama, headquarters of Samuel, and from where the
prophet Jeremiah cried concerning Rachel's children.  It being a high
place, Ramallah has been usurped by Islam and is the governmental
headquarters of the Palestinians, a wounded land of blood and
violence, the headquarters and burial place of Yasser Arafat.  Years
ago we tried to enter Ramallah as one of the towns of Matthew 10: 23,
but the time was not right and God closed the door.

Ramallah is desperate for the Gospel. . . . and that door has finally
opened to us as one of the many cities we have prepared through the
years for the Lord of the Harvest.

Before our Gospel outreach last weekend, there had been many voices
advising us not to go, but had not God given us a "Macedonian call?"
So what should we fear?  Shopkeeper Samir, having come to a saving
knowledge of the Lord in our Nafoura Old City Jerusalem meetings,
cried concerning Ramallah, "Come over here and help our beleaguered
Christian families."  God's answer to me was Revelation 3: 2, "Be
watchful, and strengthen the things which remain,  that are are ready
to die." Once predominantly an Arab Christian town, most of the
Christians have left and now Islam is in the ascendancy.

In the story of the Good Samaritan, an injured man was robbed,
beaten and left dying by the roadside and all the religious people
passed by on the other side, but the Samaritan poured oil and wine
into his wounds.  This is what we did prophetically before our
outreach--Stephanie Berry and I poured out a bottle of red wine and
anointing oil on the high place of Ramallah, also strategically in
front of the construction site of a new Coptic Egyptian Orthodox
church, to cleanse the land.  We felt a release of power as we hosted
families at Restaurant Zarour (significantly meaning fruit) and
distributed copies of the "More Than Dreams" DVDs inspired by my
book:  "The Jesus Visions:  Miracles Among Muslims."  We believed
that as a result of these revived believers, every home in Ramallah
will see these testimonies.  Typical responses of the outreach:  "you
have brought us hope"  or "pray for me, I need healing."

Shopkeeper Samir stood up and testified how God had miraculously
healed him of a tumor and spared him an operation a few days before
the outreach after we had prayed for him.  Five minutes after prayer,
the tumor burst, melted into his undershirt and the physicians gave
him a letter the following day stating that he no longer needed
surgery and that his skin looked like there had never been a
partially paralyzing tumor under his armpit.

A young man we had previously prayed for had shown improvement in his
speech from having been tormented by spirits.  The team including
Stephanie, long-time ministry associate Birgitta Yavari-Ilan and
Ibrihim (Abu George) enjoyed hosting the tables and praying for the
needs of the people.  The Gospel of healing was shared with great
liberty.  The event was prepared earlier in prayer by the American
team of Laurie, Nancy, Hope, Gloria and Susan.

It seems to be a very frequent pattern that before one of our Gospel
events Satan agitates and stirs up the people, often resulting in
rioting. We took note and courage that Satan was so threatened by our
outreach.  As 48 hours of demonstrations preceded the outreach, some
who had committed to accompany us dropped out, and I received phone
calls even on the day inquiring if I still planned to go.

I said, "I have no word from the Lord that we should not go into
Ramallah.  You will see that there will be peace when we enter
Ramallah," and there was--not only peace but unusual favor and
facility at the checkpoints.  Most of all I was so pleased to see
Shopkeeper Samir's determination that the event should go forward.
This was the first time he had organized a Gospel event and when he
was met with many adversaries along the way, his determination only
grew.  He said triumphantly before we left Jerusalem, "Let's go; God
will be with us and will give us the victory."  The Arabs were
especially touched by the prophetic act of pouring out the bottles of
oil and wine and everybody with whom I shared this testimony seemed
to receive a special impartation of revelation from the Lord.

Here is a photo of Samir with his Saint Joseph Hospital document
proving he was miraculously healed and did not need an operation.

GLORY to God in the highest!

May your every Godly desire be fulfilled in 2007,
