"Less and less Christ in
Christmas"
Dear friends:
Some argue that Christmas has always been a pagan holiday with nothing to do
with the birth of the Savior. That is not correct. At least in the
past, the observance was a strong reminder to the world that God sent His Son
into the world, born of Mary, and the conditions under which He came, whether
or not they wanted to believe it.
But now in this apostate world, even that reminder is dying out. Below
are two news items today:
_____________________________
From the UK:
Only one in 100 Christmas cards sold in Britain contains any religious imagery
or message, a Daily Mail survey has revealed.
Traditional pictures such as angels blowing trumpets over a stable, Jesus in
his manager, the shepherds and three wise men following the star to Bethlehem
are dying out. Instead, scenes of the Nativity has been replaced on cards
by designs or jokes with little or no relevance to the Bible story and the true
meaning of Christmas.
From Seattle:
SEA-TAC Airport - All of the Christmas trees inside the terminal at Sea-Tac
have been removed in response to a complaint by a rabbi. (I would have
a few choice words for that rabbi.)

Some say Christmas trees have nothing to do with the birth of the Savior anyhow.
Not true. They symbolize the celebration of Christ's birth. Also,
to many they symbolize the tree on which He was later crucified, and the lights
on them "the Light of the world."
Let us thank God for the revelation He gives us about His Son, and may we continue
to let His light so shine in the increasing darkness, knowing that someday "The
earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea"
(Isaiah 11:8).
