"Earth is Not our Home"

Jesus said it Himself- there are many rooms in my Father's house. What a tender phrase. A house implies rest, safety, warmth, a table, a bed, a place to be at home. But this isn't just any house. It's is our Eternal Father's house in Heaven

All of us know what it is like to be in a house that is not our own. Perhaps you've spent time in a dorm room or army barrack. Maybe you've slept in your share of hotels or bunked in a few hostels. They have beds. They have tables. They may have food and they may be warm, but they are a far cry from being " your Father's house"

Your Father's house is where your eternal Father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ lives. We don't always feel welcome here on earth. We wonder if there is a place here for us. People can make us feel unwanted. Tragedy leaves us feeling like intruders. Strangers, Interlopers in a land not ours. We don't always feel welcome here

And we shouldn't. This isn't our home. To feel unwelcome is no tragedy. Indeed it is healthy. We are not home here. This language we speak, it's not ours. This body we wear, it isn't us. And the world we live in, this isn't our home. It is not supposed to be. As Christian believers we are just passing through on this life's journey. We are citizens of Heaven, The Kingdom of God. That is where we belong. This life is just a temporary stop-over to our lives in eternity in heaven

You ever get that feeling that something is not quite right, you just can't be at home here, can't be really happy here ? Because you won't be truly happy untill your at home with your Heavenly Father Jesus Christ in heaven. But remember that while your here on earth, Jesus expects you to use your brief life to serve Him, to daily make an eternal difference for our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is returning very soon. Use your life to make deposits into eternity. Cause very soon Jesus will be calling all Christians home in the believers rapture. And you will have to give an account of how you spent your life , your time, talents and resources

Serve Jesus with your life today.Don't be foolish and invest in earthly things. Be wise and invest in eternity. And you will hear Jesus say at the Judgement Seat of Christ -" well done, thy good and faithful servant "  !!!

have a blessed day,  Gary
