I just watched a ‘Day of Discovery’ show about King David. They were interviewing a man, Micah Harrari, who builds 10 string harps such as David played. I guess he and his wife got intrigued about these harps about 20 years ago and decided to try building replicas. Micah says that these were the first 10 string harps built in 2000 years.

He went on to say one day an orthodox rabbi/historian came into the shop and said he’d heard these harps were again being made. The rabbi asked if they knew the significance of it. Micah said they didn’t and the rabbi proceeded to tell them that ancient writings state ‘when the harp of 10 strings returns to Israel, it will be the times of the Messiah’ and that ‘the 10 string harp will be reserved for the day when all people live together as one and worship in the same place together’.

I hadn’t heard this before. Anyone else? I checked out their website at

They don’t mention the above prophesies on the site.
