First of all, throughout Revelation, we are given the EXACT day of Yeshua's return to the earth from the time that certain events happen until the moment of His physical return (time, times, and half a time... 1,260 days... 42 months, etc.).  How can this day be both a surprise AND known?

 

Two things:  first of all the saints are given into the hand of the antichrist for  1,260 days,  Daniel 7:25. 

 

 If the saints are taken out of the way via by (PRE TRIB RAPTURE) before the Great tribulation begins, then why would it say

 1, 260 days?  The great tribulation is 1,260 days long.  Are the 144,000 going to become saints within seconds of the start of the great tribulation ?   This should take time.

 

2nd of all Jesus return is directed at the later half of the tribulation. This is the time frame thief in the night is directed towards.  From reading the verses below you can see the term thief in the night is sandwhiched in between two verses that are speaking of the batttle of Armageddon.

 

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

 

 

Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

 

 

Revelation 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

 

 

1Thess 5:2  Consider For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

 

1 Thess 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

 

When Israel says peace and saftey when does destruction occur??? At the battle of Gog and Magog, which most people place this battle at the latter half of tribulation.

 

 

Ezekiel 38: 11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

 

 

Ezekiel 38:14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know [it]?
