"REPLY TO MARILYN AGEE"

Greetings Doves & Mrs. Agee

Mrs. Agee, Below I have "copied and re-pasted" your post to me, in case we need to reference it later. I had the opportunity to quickly browse your site, to your credit you're very industrious. An abundance of material, only the least bit of which could I peruse.

Regarding your post, we are at differing perspectives.   The calendar references in the Talmud (which are plentiful), always refer to just one calendar, i.e. called "the religious". There are no "civil calendar" references in there. Not only is this concept true for the Talmud, it is true also of the Bible. The Bible employs only ONE calendar. The singular calendar of the Bible often is referred to as "the religious/sacred/reginal/ceremonial calendar. The "two" (Sacred & Civil - where the "new year" commences with the 7th month) is PURELY a rabbinic device as part of later (commencing with the Babylonian diaspora. Indeed in the following list of Babylonian month names, one can readily see from where the present day Hillel II calendar descends: NISANU, AYARU, SIMANU, DU'UZU, ABU, ULULU, TASHRINU, ARAKHSAMNA, KISLIMU, TEBETU, SHABATU, ADARU, ADARU II.). The Bible is internally consistent within itself. Its calendar was set by God (RE: ABIB being designated BY GOD as the FIRST MONTH -- which defines it and "locks it in" for ALL of SCRIPTURE (NOT TRADITION) EXODUS 12:2 ""This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.".)

There was only one calendar in those days (from ADAM to the present) and it began in Spring, Abib; NOT Tishri. This is seen in Lots departure as a fully effective prototype of the haste the Hebrews made out of Egypt in the Spring. In the Septuagint, Noah is seen in the ark on the 27th day of the SECOND month.: Septuagint Genesis 7: 11 In the six hundredth year of the life of Noe, in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, on this day all the fountains of the abyss were broken up, and the flood-gates of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. 13 On that very day entered Noe, Sem, Cham, Japheth, the sons of Noe, and the wife of Noe, and the three wives of his sons with him into the ark."

Consider again at the very end of Abib 16 (which effectively is Abib 17) + 40 = 27th day of second month of Spring.. If we take 40 days and add it to the time of resurrection – ABIB 16 + 40 = 27th day of SECOND Month, the DAY of Final Ascension of Christ. NOTE what the Book of Jasher says: Jasher 6: 37 And the Lord hearkened to the voice of Noah, and said to him, When though shalt have completed a full year thou shalt then go forth.
38 And at the revolution of the year, (This would be Abib 1) when a full year was completed to Noah's dwelling in the ark, the waters were dried from off the earth, and Noah put off the covering of the ark.
39 At that time, on the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the earth was dry, but Noah and his sons, and those that were with him, did not go out from the ark until the Lord told them.
40 And the day came that the Lord told them to go out, and they all went out from the ark.
41 And they went and returned every one to his way and to his place, and Noah and his sons dwelt in the land that God had told them, and they served the Lord all their days, and the Lord blessed Noah and his sons on their going out from the ark.

The day that the Lord came and told them to leave the ark was likely 10 days AFTER the ark came to rest after having floated for a year. That day was likely SHAVUOT (Pentecost) (IN SPRINGTIME). Now the Pharisees have a tendency to put Shavuot on Sivan 6-7, but the Sadducees put it on Sivan 15 (Reference the book of Jubilees.).

As far as I’ve read and researched, the calendar system of “sacred year” (beginning in Abib) is thoroughly, internally consistent. At no time does sacred scripture ever jump out of God reference plane to some "man-made" algorithm of "civil year" (beginning in Tishri). The traditional Hebrew calendar is of “unauthorized” institution. Thus when the Torah (of which Genesis is part, the internal consistency of scripture requires the months associated with Noah, to be those of the calendar of the Bible as described in Genesis. This is even more solid when one considers that the Torah id a "unit", "written" by Moses - and the author would be consistent in designations and month/year commencement and termination.)

Book of Jasher 6:38 “38 And at the revolution of the year, when a full year was completed to Noah's dwelling in the ark, the waters were dried from off the earth, and Noah put off the covering of the ark.”. In this verse we can see that it took one year for Noah to open the cover of the ark. Thus his “departure time (Second month in spring) was the same month and season of his “arrival time”.

In Gen 8:13 “And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the earth was dry.”.  This account, penned down in the Torah, by Moses, was penned LONG before the Pharasitic rabbinate of 1st century BC to 1st century AD had altered the calendar to “commence” with Rosh Hashanah. The reference above to the ‘earth being dry’ is a type and foreshadow of how the earth was spiritually ‘dry’ in the interval from the time Christ ascended to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Shavuot.

The origin of the present Jewish calendar (HILLEL II) can no longer be confidently and accurately traced, although some names of months i.e. Nisan do stem from “Nisanu” from the Babylonian calendar (As I have listed above). Some scholars suggest that a solar year prevailed in ancient Israel, but no convincing proofs have been offered, and it is more likely that a lunisolar calendar similar to that of ancient Babylonia prevailed in ancient Israel. Like many calendars, it began it’s year in spring. Indeed many calendars, even in the United States up until the 1700’s began the New Year in March. Hence we see DECember (suggested by its name as the 10th month), becoming the 12th month as the New Year was shifted back to January. In late Second Temple times (i.e., 1st century BC to 70 AD), calendrical matters were thought surely to be heavily influenced by Rome. The present HILLEL II Jewish calendar (instituted circa 4th century AD) in use today is luni-solar, the years being solar and the months lunar, but it also allows for a week of seven days. Because the year exceeds 12 lunar months by about 11 days, a 13th month of 30 days is intercalated in the third, sixth, eighth, 11th, 14th, 17th, and 19th years of a 19-year cycle. For very obscure religious purposes—e.g., forcing Yom Kippur to NOT fall on a Friday or Saturday Shabbat and the 7th day of the Feast of Tabernacles not to fall on a Saturday Shabbat; some “normal” months are themselves “intercalated” to force the conditions on Yom Kippur and Tishri 21. Reckoning the commencement of the Sabbath—the day begins at Friday sunset and finishes on sunset Saturday. In the calendar used today, a day is counted from sunset to sunset, a week comprises 7 days, a month (based on a lunation) has 29 or 30 days, and a year has 12 lunar months plus approximately 11 days (or 353, 354, or 355 days). In order to bring the calendar in line with the annual solar cycle (termed commensurability), a 13th month of 30 days is added in the 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, and 19th years of a 19–year cycle. {This intercalation is what is done, HOWEVER it is not proper. The year should be an 18 year duration calendar, intercalated at Fibonacci year intervals in the 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th, 13th, 14th and 17th years. The Fibonacci sequence (1, 2, 3,5,8,13,21) etc is related to very much naturally occurring phenomena. The “golden ratio” is “obtained” by taking the “last” Fibonacci number and dividing it by the preceding number in the series. For ex 21/13 = 1.615 and will “approximate the “golden ratio” the farther one goes out in the sequence. The “quicker approximation is ((0.5 + Sq Rt (5))/2) = phi.  The golden ration leads directly to the golden angle which is the smaller angle subtended by 360 degrees - (360 degrees/phi) = 137.5 degrees. The 137.5 and its integer multiples are used to intersperse itself a circle divided into 18 equal pie segments. This gives the true allotment of the 7 intercalary months without having to mutilate individual months as does the Hillel II} Therefore, a leap year may have from 383 to 385 days. The Jewish calendar in use today was popularly accepted around the 4th century AD and is supposedly based on Biblical calculations placing the creation in 3761 BC (which is erroneous).

As to the idea of two raptures, we are at difference here also. In short let me try to sum it this way:

#1. The term "Blessed Hope" (which I believe refers to the rapture) is singular, not plural,

#2. In both the OT and NT the word "visitation" is again singular (except possibly in Hosea), and in some instances likely refers to the rapture,

#3. I believe in "largely or highly effective" prototypes, thus Noah (and probably sons) preached for years before the flood. Like AQdam who had all animals parade inj front of him as he named them, after which came his and Eve's "judgment" (expulsion from the Garden) Noah sat and reviewed all the animals (clean & unclean) as they paraded on the ark, then came judgment. Once the fruit was eaten, once the ark was sealed judgment fell. The RAPTURE IS JUDGMENT (and judgment begins in the house of God first: 1 Peter 4:17 "For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?".), the ones "spewed out" of Yeshua's mouth, like unsavory salt, will literally appear as pillars of salt as Lot's wife literally appeared,

#4. The Exodus, once the waters were parted, if one was not with God, there was no "second parting". It was true for Moses as the "Red Sea" (wherever that may have been, as well as when Joshua crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan "piled up", if one did not cross then there was no "second parting"),

#5. Ezra commanded that the wives of the exiles returning from Babylon be divorced and sent away. The idea being that these people had up to 70 years to "join" with the captives, if the transition from idolatry could not be done, it was not going to be brought back into the land, no "second chance". The "second chance" in the tribulation period is not rapture, but rather beheading (martyrdom) to get to heaven. I'm on a public terminal so I must go. I did not get a chance to "cut & paste your post, Sorry.
