"Hanukkah and the Rapture?"http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/dec2005/brandonc1216.htm
I was wondering if you could all give me your thoughts on this coming
Hanukkah and the rapture of the church. Do you feel that it's possible
that the rapture would occur in the Jewish festival of lights? Or is
there just another overly hyped theory about the day of the rapture? I
think that we're always in the possibility that the rapture might happen
at any day. Who knows (besides God) if there might be a link between
this Jewish holiday and the hour of his visitation? Please, tell me your
opinions on this matter.http://www.prophecytalk.com/index.php?topic=631.0
But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven,
but my Father only. Mathew 24:36Brandon
----------------To: BrandonFrom: Marilyn AgeeHi:The word "knoweth" is present tense. On that day, no man knew, but we are to watch. Rev. 3:3 says, "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." At some point, watchers will know.Hanukkah sounds like a good bet to me. The wise virgins are to keep their lamps lit, and Hannukkah is the Feast of Lights. The oil for one day lasted 8 days. It is when the temple was cleansed and rededicated. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, so it can easily apply to us. We must have enough oil of the Holy Spirit to keep our lamps lit untiil the Pre-Trib Rapture takes place. Also, Jesus came to Jerusalem at the time of the Feast of Dedication (John 10:22,23 says, "it was at Jerusalem the feast of the DEDICATION, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch." Solomon built the first temple. The Rapture is as the days of Noah (Mt. 24:37), and Noah entered the Ark on Cheshvan 17. Then it rained 40 days and 40 nights, floating the Ark.Forty days after Cheshvan 17, 5766 (Nov. 19, 2005) is Kislev 27 (Dec. 28), by Jewish inclusive reckoning. That's the third day of Hanukkah, an 8-day feast starting on Kislev 25 (Dec. 26). Jesus was resurrected on the third day. Will the Bride group be resurrected on the third day of Hanukkah? I hope so.Haggai told us to consider a certain date, which was Kislev 24 (Jesus' conception), AND UPWARD. That could refer to the Rapture during Hanukkah, which starts Kislev 25 and lasts 8 days, (Dec. 26, 2005, through Jan. 2, 2006).Haggai 2:18,19 says, "Consider (lit., take it to heart) now from this day AND UPWARD, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month (from Kislev 24, Dec. 25, 2005, Christmas), even from the day (Kislev 24, Conception Day) that the foundation (Jesus) of the LORD'S temple was laid (i.e., was conceived), CONSIDER IT. Is the seed (Jesus, Gen. 3:15) yet in the barn (a female word, i.e., in the womb)? yea (YES), as yet the vine (Jesus), and the fig tree (Israel), and the pomegranate (Bride of Christ, Song of Solomon), and the olive tree (Israel, but Gentiles can be grafted in), hath not brought forth (bringing in our sheaves): from this day (Kislev 24, Dec. 25, 2005, Christmas) will I bless you." That could be the Rapture we have been watching for.If our vessels (bodies) are filled with oil (the Holy Spirit) on one day (Kislev 25), will it miraculously last 8 days (Kislev 25 through Teveth 2)? How many candles are there on the Mennorah? Eight, plus the central servant candle (representing Christ), from which all eight are kindled. There are only seven candlesticks (churches, Rev. 1:20). Seven means completion and perfection, but the number eight is emphasized at Hanukkah. Why? Eight means new order, and we will enter a new order at the Rapture.I Cor. 15:42-53 says, "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, e! arthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but WE SHALL ALL (including Paul, and all saints of both Raptures) BE CHANGED IN A MOMENT, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, AT THE LAST TRUMP (i.e., at the Second Rapture): for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, AND WE SHALL BE CHANGED (actually be made immortal). For this corruptible must put on incorruption (at their resurrection), AND THIS MORTAL SHALL PUT ON IMMORTALITY" (at the time of the Second Rapture).Heb 11:40 explains, "God having provided some better thing for us (New Testament saints), that they (the Old Testament saints) without us should not be made perfect."On the Day of the Lord, there will be lots of things taking place in Heaven on the same day. All saints will be gathered to the General Assembly in Heaven (Heb. 12:23). The saints already in Heaven will be called to the General Assembly (Mt. 24:31). The Pre-Wrath Rapture will take place (Mark 13:27). Following that will be the Coronation of Christ, the Marriage of the Lamb, and the Judgment Seat of Christ.Rev 11:15-18 says, "the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ (on Tishri 1); and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come (7 months later, on Nisan 1, Eze. 39:12,13); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry (Gog's army is attacking Israel), and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged (at the Judgment Seat of Christ), and that thou shouldest give rewa! rd unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."Eze. 38:20 describes that day of the world-wide earthquake, when the asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10 will impact Earth. On that day, the scene in the sky will resemble the one Eze. saw. Eze 1:26 says, "And above the firmament (expanse of space) that was over their heads (farther out in space than the four terrestrial planets) was the likeness of A THRONE, as the appearance of a SAPPHIRE STONE: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man (Jesus) above upon it." This is the Sign of the Son of Man (Mt. 24:30).Sapphire is a symbol of Saturn, Heaven. Sapphire means dear to the planet Saturn, from the Sanskrit Sani, Saturn, and priya, dear. Also, sapphire is the birthstone listed for September, usually the month of Tishri 1. The Day of Destruction on Earth will be Tishri 1.Ex. 24:10 says, "they saw the God of Israel (Jesus, YHWH king of Israel and YHWH of hosts, the Redeemer, both the first and the last, Isa. 44:6) and there was UNDER HIS FEET as it were (symbolic language) a paved work of a SAPPHIRE STONE, and as it were the body of HEAVEN (i.e., the heavenly body, Saturn) in his clearness (tohar, brightness, glory)"
The entire Body of Christ will be with him in Heaven receiving their rewards on the Day of Destruction on Earth. That's the day of the Second Rapture. I hope the Bride of Christ will be caught up at the First Rapture, on Hanukkah, the Dedication of the Temple.
John 10:22-28 says, "And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch (Solomon built the first temple). Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I KNOW THEM, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
At the first Rapture, the foolish virgins will be left behind. Luke 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant (the unwise) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him HIS PORTION WITH THE UNBELIEVERS.".
Mt. 25:11-13 says, "Afterward came also the other virgins (i.e., the foolish-virgin Tribulation saints), saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I KNOW YOU NOT. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." We want to be the sheep that know the good shepherd's voice and follow him. Then, we will know him, and he will know us.
The Jews play a game at Hanukkah with a top called a dreidl. "A dreidl is a four-sided top with one of the Hebrew letters Nun, Gimel, Heh, and Shin on each side. The letters stand for the phrase Nes Gadol Hayah Sham-- "A great miracle happened there."" http://www.amfi.org/hanukkah.htm
The Conception took place on the Eve of Hanukkah. If the miracle of the oil and the Rapture both take place during Hanukkah, a very great miracle will have happened on Hanukkah.
