"Was Yeshua concieved at
Hanukah and born at Sukkot?"
We have talked in the past about all the evidence
that Yeshua was born around the time frame of Sukkot. It was recently
even discussed how the birth of the man-child happens in the Sukkot time
frame and how Revelation 12 might suggest this symbolism.
Backtrack 9 months from Sukkot, and you get into what
could be Hanukah time. Now the leap -month issue has to work out
just right for it to happen that way, but it can happen that way.
Stop and think of how fitting these two holidays are.........
On Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) God commanded Israel
to leave their nice homes and go live in a shack for 8 days.
Yeshua left His heavenly home and came to live on earth.
So Sukkot is a very fitting time frame to celebrate His birth!!!!!!
It parallels the sacrfice He made for us by just coming to earth so perfectly!!!!!
And concieved at Hanukah!!! Again....so poetically
perfect. For Hanukah is all about the dedication of the temple, and
Miriam (Mary) dedicated the temple of her flesh when she told the angel,
"Behold, the handmaiden of the L-RD. May it be done to me according
to your word" (Luke 1:38) She did here what Hanukah was about...she
dedicated the temple of her body to the service of God's work. She
knew most of the world around her would not believe her story - "a child
without a man???? Ah....you're lieing. We all know that doesn't
happen." But she agreed to take the shame of those misunderstandings
to dedicate her body to God's service.
How poetically perfectly is the way God times things!
So while Dec 25th may have been originally chosen to
coincide with the annual celebration of the re-birth of hte sun-god, the
Church may have struck home a little closer than they realized, since the
25th of Kislev , which is about the same time, may have been when He was
actually concieved!
