Christmas eve we had a candle lighting ceremony. I was reminded of a
beautifull poster I saw in Jerusalem. The poster depicted two mountains as
huge candles. They were the mountain that Moses received the 10 commandments
from and the mountain in Jerusalem that holds the temple. Surrounding the
mountains were millions of smaller candles. Instantly I knew that those
represented individuals. They were souls that grew brighter in the presense
of those 2 witnesses of the presense of God.

God is light and in him is no darkness.
Holiness is his light.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the hatred of all sin, that begins with us.

Soul, light a candle in my heart.
Shine the light into the dark areas of my thought life.
Expose the root of the bitterness and evil thoughts.
Shine your light on the source of cruel and sarcastic comments.
Expose the source of those cruelties to the brightness of your truth.
Refuse to let all hidden darkness live as the light exposes it.
Lord I want to live.
I want your love to live in me.
For your love to live in me death must come.
Lord I love your light.
Darkness die in me, I refuse your ways and I renounce you.
Lord I belong to you. Your thoughts are my thoughts.
Dark thoughts are not from you.
Lord light a candle in my heart.
Clean the darkness out of my heart.
Lord, make my heart your home.
