Winter Tent/Synagogue at Western Wall Plaza
 
A new tent which will serve as a synagogue has been erected at the Western Wall (Kotel) Plaza. The tent will protect visitors from winter rains and was installed because of construction work which has closed part of the covered area of the Kotel.

The work has taken longer than expected, and the city put up the tent to provide for regular visitors and a large number of tourists expected during the eight day Chanukah festival which begins Sunday night. Workers also are building a permanent covered area for women.
