Re: Paul N. F. A Compromise: "The
Church Must Change"
This article could not be more true.
This year has been a year of emotional ups & downs
for me. At the beginning of this year, my husband (who is my heart)
was diagnosed with colon cancer. After surgery, no two doctors could
agree on further treatments. Although it would appear not to be,
this was in actuality the LORD. Yeshua taught us to depend
totally on Him. My husband IS healed. He had another round
of test in November and all is well!!! Praise Yeshua!!! I am
eternally grateful. HIS praise shall always be on my lips.
The church that the Lord led us to prayed faithfully
with us and I know their intercession was important. However, sadly,
now they too seemed to have joined the "seeker" movement. Only church
expansion and membership growth is important. Things have changed,
lots of choruses now, ten (possibly 15) min. sermons (nothing offensive
such as sin, repentance, etc.)
Last week I read the post about the minister on TBN telethon
who said the Lord told him to leave his wife and marry another and now
the refusal to air Hal Lindsey. I have always regarded Hal as being a true
man of God, never changing in his message. I met him a few years
ago and was amazed at how "ordinary" he is. What you see is what
he is.
And in our local paper....a man (I hesitate to call him
a pastor) is receiving national recognition riding on the coattails of
others. This man has hurt and destroyed numerous individuals in our area.
No board in this church, just a one man show.
I was talking with my mother this morning. If I
didn't know that GOD was in charge, I would just not bother. What
is happening to the Church, the real Church? I guess we are seeing
the separation of the Laodacian and Philidelphian churches and the time
is nearing for our Savior to appear. That is all I am waiting for.
Please don't get the impression that I am discouraged
or giving up. It is just amazing to me that men (those who are in
the church and supposed to know better) don't know better and reject the
teachings of the Bible so easily.
I read the Doves every morning and listen to John MacArthur.
As Psalm 23 says they "restoreth my soul". Thanks to all of you.
Hope to meet all of you in Heaven soon. :)
