"Bearing Fruit"

Bearing Fruit

CAPS has got me going, his enthusiasm infectious.  He spoke of the rain of forty days, which LIFTED UP ark, as did Marilyn Agee.  Thanks all.

Got to thinking about that.  Noah, and his family, were people.  The ark is our Lord Christ.  We are “in Christ” (in the ark), according to John (below).  At the rapture, the “ark” (Christ) (that is, Christ in whom we are….), is “lifted up”, with us (people) in it (Him).  The restrainer (the ark, the Word, the warning of judgment, etc.,)  is removed and the antichrist and his cohorts can have at it.

Now let’s go to the book of John:

John 15:1-8

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Not only is He the ark, but He is the “true vine”.   (Referring to a grape vine here, but not the grapes of wrath……)

OK, above He states that He is going to “purge” (prune) the branches that He considers potential fruit-bearing branches, and cast off the useless branches into the tribulation, where “men” gather them and burn them in the “fire”.

Now I am curious about when in Israel, they do the “pruning”…at what season, and in what month do they do this…..

go here:

http://www.bible-history.com/geography/seasons_months_israel.html

to read about Palestine and its seasons, planting times, rain times, etc., and at the very bottom, see WHEN the branches are PRUNED.

(snip):

10 (4) December. (Tebeth, rainy winter months). December would bring heavier rains and cooler weather. Fruit trees would ripen with their oranges, citrons, and lemons. The vines would be pruned.

Maybe some of you could look in the Song of Solomon, and see if there is anything about “lo the winter rains are gone”, etc., to see if there is any connection to the church being “pruned” and taken out (the ark), in December, and ISRAEL, who would be the next year’s crop beginning in the spring, looking for her bridegroom.  Song of Solomon could be referring to Israel and not the church,,,there is much controversy about this, but keep this in mind.

Off for errands……..love you all……….Arlene
