"Civil Union Bill passed vote to become Law"

Hi John and 5 Doves,
Today, our government has voted 65 against 55 to pass the "Civil Union Bill" into "Law"!
The Civil Union is basically giving Homosexual couples the same rights as though they were married!
Our Labour government has rushed this through parliament, even though they knew there were many NZers against it, so they would not have to have a 'public referendum' and let the people have their vote.
This is the very same government that passed the "prostitution bill" and made prostitution legal!
This is the very same government that lowered the legal drinking age from 20 years to 18 years, even though our country has a proven problem with alcohol abuse amongst young people.  (now, they haven't stemmed the problem - they've just made it bigger by introducing younger and younger teens to the abuses of alcohol!)
This government has rushed these laws through, without proper debate or public consultation.  There is a definite agenda here!
Our country (which was the first country in the world to give Women the right to vote!) has continued down a fast-track of "political correctness" and "humanism"!  We were (I think) recently one of the first to allow a "trans-sexual" person into parliament, and also a weed-smoking "rastafari"!  This is whilst we have had two successive female Prime Ministers (for the first time in NZ history).
This country that was once built around Biblical Laws, is very quickly being undermined and swamped by 'humanistic' laws that are 'anti-christian' in their values.  We also have one or two Muslim Members of Parliament!  In the history of world politics over the last 40 years or more, NZ has led the way in many 'experiemental' policies and economic ideas that have since been adopted and adapted by other nations.  This government that we currently have has done nothing but undermine family values.
Please pray for God to have his way in the next elections here!  (I think they are next year?)
I certainly know who I WON'T be voting for!
Julie
