There have been some articles posted lately about Israel, Turkey, and other countries joining the EU.  There have also been some articles about the anti-Semitism in Europe (and countries near Israel).
 
I have no doubt that membership (or affiliation) with the EU would entail the sharing of military information.  As anti-Semitic as Europe is and is getting, it wouldn't be a far stretch of the imagination that members with significant Islamic populations could and would use that information in a manner not in Israel's best interests.
