(If all mankind were saved and believed that Jesus shed his blood and died on the cross for their sins, there wouldn't be this scientific quest for immortality.  Jesus promises his believers eternal life in an immortal, incorruptible body free of disease.  So even if the scientists find a way to prolong life for mankind to live 1,000 years, mankind won't have eternal life; and he will have only postponed the inevitable, which is his death.)
