"Reflections of THE LIGHT ... from Chanukah"

Shalom All:

Chanukah commemorates the historical reality when Jewish faith was almost
extinguished - not with violence ... but with "worldliness" - with making
faith seem old-fashioned - enticing the Jews to forsake the practices of
their faith given them specifically by YHVH.  BUT ...  the Chanukah story is
what has been happening to those of The Way!!  It has a lesson for those of
us who love Yeshua.  I repeat the Chanukah story is relevant ... today ...
for those who love Yeshua!

Yeshua celebrated Chanukah!

... and ... it was the time of His own conception, the time when THE LIGHT
physically entered into THIS world in human flesh!  December 25 is not His
Birthday!  He was birthed at Feast of Trumpets which is nine months after
Chanukah.  One celebrates Chanukah by (re)kindling love for Yeshua,
(re)dedicating one's life to show that relationship/fellowship!

Please ... consider Chanukah ... as it reveals Yeshua instead of Christmas.
This year Chanukah has already passed but I posted to 5D and was
ready/willing to share what our family does for Chanukah.  Perhaps some of
you did go to our family website?  I ask you most sincerely now ... what do
you know about the Christmas customs you observe?  What are their real
"roots"?  What are the results when you follow them?

Our family celebrated Chanukah.  We enjoyed our eight days of Shalom!  We
enjoyed wonderful food spread over eight days; the lights which increased
every night!; AND the joy of knowing Yeshua and centering our attention on
Him!

What we didn't have was the deception of a season syncristically named
Christmas.   The focus on present$; the lie of Santa; on working to please
others so they won't be disappointed ... so we won't be rejected!  Frantic,
never-satisfied, never-enough activities and always trying to out-do!

And the theater of worship!  How all this is for the Glory of God!  How far
down this slippery Christmas slope are you? your children? your extended
family and friends?

The next feast is Purim - February 22-24 in Adar I and March 24-26 in Adar II.
Our family will celebrate Purim, if The LORD tarries, as it will make us
again aware of the ways of The LORD and how He works in our lives.  Please
realize the feasts of The LORD are not just for study - they are for doing!
