"RE: Steve C: 08.14.22: Dignity"

Man, oh man - that was intense!
Also, you brought up a number of things quite pertinent to our time (i.e. rather than "relevant").
Have we, today, like you mentioned that Israel did, betrayed his commitment to us and become like the world?
Instead, do we sigh and cry for all the abominations committed in our land?
Or do take pleasure in watching them being done? Like on television or the internet.

Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Is that us? We know that there will be judgment for people committing these things.
Yet we allow ourselves to be entertained, watching adultery, murder, fornication, etc. right in our living rooms.
We also listen to cursing, swearing, and blasphemy.
But we tell ourselves that it is alright, because it is simply fiction, a product of imagination.
However, isn't one of the six things that the LORD hates,

Proverbs 6:18a An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,

Is it still alright to watch, as long as it was someone else's heart that devised the wicked imaginations?
That can't possibly be - but here we are - my, my, my.
Apparently there is a difference between sighing and crying for the abominations, or watching it for pleasure.
We are nowhere even like Lot:

II Peter 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

I think that not even Lot would have dared to watch it on tv for pleasure, had tv been invented in that day.
Apparently there is a difference between vexing our soul over wickedness, or watching it for pleasure.
Sadly, I'm guilty, as well, in this matter.
