Our brother in Christ, Rick Perry, has called a public assembly-A Day Of Prayer And Fasting on August 6. As a Govenor in this land, standing in that Office to which he is called by God, he has that authority. Most of us Christians do not.
 
God did not ask our permission or our approval when He placed it in our brother's heart to do this. He did not care if we approved of Rick's denomination or those to which he may lean. "God would not use this man for this purpose," some would say. But your ways are not God's way-His ways are higher, without the pettiness. I remember a time that God used a lowly unsaved donkey to save a Prophet. There were times God used pagan kings and sinners to prophesy and to do His will.
 
"If my people, who are called by my Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; (crucifying other Christians doing something for the LORD) then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their SIN, and will heal their land. NOW Mine eyes shall be open, and Mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. (II Chronicles 7:14,15).
 
Even if "Christians" do not attend this event, the least, the very least you can do is to fast and pray on that day at that time for the healing of our Nation. If not, God may heal Texas, but woe unto the rest of the land!! Do you really want to be one of the ones that continues to harden his heart against the help of our God? We have an opportunity here, maybe our last, to stop the back biting and judging of others in order to humble ourselves before the LORD. Corporate prayer, in one mind, one Body, is all that God will listen to for our land. God help us all if we refuse to hear the heart of God. There remains NO help for this nation and we are left to the consequences of our hard hearts. We are left with what WE bring upon ourselves and upon our land.
