"RE: Christina2--"Doves - Prayer request""

Hello, John and Doves,
Dear Sister Christina, God is concerned about your soul and spirit--both eternal.  He is less concerned with the perfection of your body--which is imperfect and will be exchanged for perfection.  [1 Corinthians 15:49-58]  In fact, I would venture to say that you desire to be face to face with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, more than you know.
What you need to know are two sets of verses.

Eternal Security

Jesus replied, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

“ ‘But you haven't believed in me even though you have seen me.

“ ‘However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

“ ‘For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.

‘And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day.

“ ‘For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.’ ”  John 6:35-40

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,

“for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else.  No one can snatch them from the Father's hand.

“The Father and I are one.”  John 10:27-30

“I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.”  1 John 5:13

Accountability Promises

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns [for us].”

                        Philippians 1:6

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation.  Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.”

                        James 1:12

“He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He will pay back what he has given."  Proverbs 19:17

12    “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

13    “The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate toward those who fear him.”   Psalm 103:12-13

7      “Oh what joy for those

                whose disobedience is forgiven,

whose sins are put out of sight.

8      “Yes, what joy for those

whose record the LORD has cleared of sin.”

                        Romans 4:7, Psalm 32:1-2

“…[W]e must all stand before Christ to be judged.  We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.”  [This Bema seat judgment is for all who finish the race in these "spiritual Olympic games," as it were.  All Christians finish their race--see Philippians 1:6, above.]

                        1 Corinthians 5:10

"...[O]ther foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are."  1 Corinthians 3:11-17

The only way to defile the temple of God is to have something profane on the throne of your heart.  If you have Christ in your heart, and he is your Lord and Savior, there is no defiling taking place in your heart of hearts.

[However, smoking a cigarette can lead to a fire, if it is dropped.  You'd better make sure everyone in your house is saved, so that when the Rapture happens, and you are taken up, Christina2, there will be no worries about what that cigarette dropped in the twinkling of an eye will do!]

“You keep track of all my sorrows.

You have collected all my tears in your bottle. [note:  Listen to "Mansion Builder," from the eponymous album, 2nd Chapter of Acts (words and music by Annie Herring)]

You have recorded each one in your book.

                        Psalm 56:8

“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable.  Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, knowing that nothing that you do for the Lord is ever useless.”  1 Corinthians 15:58

"Doves - Prayer request"

  Hello Doves,
I really need your prayers. The Lord says to confess your sins so that you may be healed ect.
I am a smoker. I was delivered from it once and have came back to it. (Yeah I know exactly what Gods Word says about that) Someone asked me if I was stressed when I took it up again, no not more than I had been in times of my life. I long for His return and don't want to have a cigg. hanging out of my mouth. I feel very scared about it.
I know I did this to myself. Someone was smoking and I asked them for one. My fault, my sin. I feel alot of condemnation about this.
I would appreciate your prayers please.
