Hello, John, Anna, and all Doves,If 7:11 is looked at in the light of Leviticus 23, then it could well mean the seventh month of the Jewish religious year that starts on Nisan, 2011 (5771). However, the civil year 5772 begins in the twinkling of an eye, just as the new moon is sighted by three eyewitnesses in Jerusalem, on 1 or 2 Tishrei, 5772. No one can accurately predict this event. Thus, the last day of the old year of 5771 occurs on September 28 or 29.This same month of Tishrei, 5772, doubles as the seventh month in the religious year that started six months earlier. "7:11" seems to suggest that God will wait till the last nanosecond of 5771 to snatch away His Bride. In other words, from a day standpoint, the last day of 5771 "by The Book" could be on the same day that the new year, 5772, is calculated (and published, years in advance) to begin.Consider that October 29, 2008 was 30 Tishrei, 5769. By the time 8:00 pm, October 29, 2008 rolled around, the date was the first day of Cheshvan, 5769. We can see that if Daniel's 70th week started then, that the world gained a month of grace, as it were, compared to the solar year--which is a Gentile thing. Since the seventieth week of Daniel started a month late, the LORD has had to jam pack a lot of events into these past three years--and we're still not done with the year, 5771, or the events that are slated to go with this year. But this is no big challenge to a God who regularly packs lives full of His Ruach HaKodesh so that He calls home some of us Doves sooner rather than later. Yet the LORD is faithful to make sure that all who belong to Him [1 John 5:1-13] are ready for His coming and to maintain our readiness for His Name's sake. The foregoing discussion reminds us of three scriptures. The Lord Jesus Christ has a name above all other names."Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honorand gave Him the name above all other names,"that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,in heaven and on earth and under the earth,"and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:10-12The LORD maintains His Holy Word in a position above His Holy Name."...[Y]our promises are backed by all the honor of your name." Psalm 138:2The LORD has promised to prepare the Bride for Himself."Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for He who calls you is faithful." 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24Baruch HaShem Yeshua,Mike C.
You made a comment that the Jewish feasts are not applicable to the Church, however the Holy Spirit came on the Church on the Jewish feast of Pentecost; so that is why I believe that the Jewish feasts do apply to the Church. The next feast to be fulfilled was Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah--which in 2011 falls on Sept 29-30, I believe.
I have been a student of prophecy since I was born again in 1980. Yes, 1988 was quite a let down! A Messianic Jew was at my sister-in-law's church recently, and said that the rapture would be this year on Rosh Hashanah.
When our children were small, our Family Number was, “7:11.” We saw that number on our clocks and other places constantly, and I never did figure out what it meant. If God does decide to rapture us on another day besides a Feast Day, July would be awesome with me! See you here, there, or in the air!
God Bless you all, and a special thanks to John Tng! This site means so much to me, as everyone I know is so tired of hearing me talk about prophecy! After 30 years, I still haven't lost my zeal to watch and wait for that day!
