"Re: Pat Robertson's
Teaching of No Rapture"
Dear John and Doves,
I want to respond to the woman who was concerned because she saw
Pat. R.'s teaching that stated that believers would go through
the Tribulation and be taken out only by Jesus's second
coming. It was, in my opinion, an unfortunate session that
ignored Jesus's own warning from Luke 21:36 in which he urges us
to "Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to
escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to
stand before the Son of Man."
In Rev. 3:10, Jesus again speaks, "Since you (the church of
Philadelphia) have kept my command to endure patiently, I will
also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon
the whole earth to test those who live on the earth."
Pat also began by saying that this was his opinion and ended by
saying that if you didn't believe what he had just said, you
would have to throw the whole Bible out. Unfortunate.
The session grieved me for Pat's sake. In fact, I e mailed
the ministry this morning. Author, Tim LaHaye stated that
once his friends began to become mid and post trib people, he
spent 10,000 additional hours studying prophecy and was
convinced more than ever of his position.
While indicators of the displeasure of God with countries who
are saying they are friends of Israel are increasing
exponentially as they slyly and openly oppose Israel's very
existence, the birth pangs seem to have intensified to the point
of a very near Rapture. My sense is that we are in the
year of the Rapture.
God did not destroy Noah but lifted he and his loved ones up
above the destruction. For Lot's sake, Sodom and Gomorrah
could not be destroyed until his removal.
It is interesting to me to note that the Washington Memorial was
cracked in the earthquake on the east coast and the angels were
knocked off the National Cathedral. Now hurricane Irene is
threatening great harm to a national seat of government and a
world seat of power in the UN set to come against Israel in
September.
We continue to pray for this nation, and believers around the
world and those yet to come to know our Lord. Come
quickly, Lord Jesus.
