"To: Steve Mullin Re: "Birth Certificate Subpoena!""
It would be great if it were true, but unfortunately WND is being a little too optimistic. Orly's subpoena is not signed by a judge - just the clerk of the court, and thus has no legal force. The Hawaii Department of Health can (and almost certainly will) ignore it without consequence.
According to Hawaii law, an original birth certificate can only be examined by either the person named therein, or his parents. In order to allow a third party to view it, a court order must be issued by a sitting judge with good standing in the state of Hawaii. I wish Orly would follow that route, instead of issuing useless subpoenas. Perhaps one day the truth will come to light, but it almost certainly will not be August 8th.
