Hi John and Doves,
O.K. this is a little crazy. I was recently given a laptop ( totally a God thing). I am 53 years old and truly computer illiterate. A friend of mind ( Thanks Spoely) told me about Five Doves, it took me awhile to "figure out" the internet and locate Five Doves. When I did, I was amazed to see so many familiar numbers! God has been showing me 8-0-8, 11:11, 36,( linked to Obama) and several others. I was so happy to see that God was showing these to other people too!! My kids think I'm totally off my rocker and don't want to listen. So it was GREAT to feel connected with "like minded" people. When God gives the same numbers to total strangers, from all parts of the country,it becomes obvious He wants to reveal something. Our job is to humbly ask for insight, guidance and revelation.
I've been praying about 11:11.What is it He wants us to know. Two nights ago He gave me one word "Jerusalem". That was it, nothing else. Then last night I was praying again about this and asked God for more, "Jerusalem" can cover so much, what else is there. At that moment I felt God tell me, "the two witnesses". If this was really from God, it needed to be confirmed by His word. He directed me to Rev. 11:11(I've studied Rev. but do not have chapters or verses memorized) so when I opened my Bible to Rev. 11:11 and saw that it was about the resurrection of the two witnesses, well, the confirmation had been made!
Without going into all the details, I will give you the"meat" of what God said.
11:11 is not about the number eleven, it is seen as tally marks. 1=1,the next 1=1, : = a distinction or a difference between the next set of 1, 1. A total of four witnesses. 2 and 2.
Confirmed by Rev. 11:4 (WOW. I just realized, 4 witnesses confirmed by Rev. 11: "4") God continues to amaze me!!! Back to Rev. 11: 4. Gods word specifically tells us there are 2 Olive Trees and 2 Lampstands. The Olive Trees are witnesses and the Lampstands are witnesses. Olive Trees represent Israel or spiritual Israel (Gods witness to the world in the Old Testament) Lampstands represent born again believers or the church(Gods witness to the world in the New Testament) Both of these witnesses will be hated by the world in the last days. Ahmadinejad has repeatedly called for the annihilation of Christians and Jews (Israel). Antisemitism is on the rise, and Christians around the world are being killed because of their faith in Jesus Christ (not being reported by the media). This will continue at a greater pace the closer we get to the end.
I think I need to clarify something. When God gives a revelation, it sometimes is difficult to put into words. He shows us things in our spirits which make complete sense and we understand what He is doing, but to try to put it into words becomes extremely difficult.
The two sets of two witnesses are not four separate individuals. The one set of witnesses are the Jewish people and Israel (the land) .People and land make up the "Nation of Israel" God's chosen people, Gods "Bride". The next set of two are Gentiles and the church the "Bride of Christ". So, the witnesses are Gods Bride and the Bride of Christ. 2 characteristics of each witness. I hope this makes sense. I understand it clearly in my spirit, but it's difficult to express.
I've always believed there would be two men who were the witnesses. The NIV mentions "men" in Rev. 11:6 "These men have power ............
The NKJV in the same verse leaves out the word men. "These have power....
So now I'm wondering........ are the "Jews, Israel"one witness and the "Born again Christians, Gentiles" another witness or will there be 2 men who will each represent one of the witnesses??
When the world is rejoicing at the death of the two witnesses, are they rejoicing over the death of two men...... or the death of Christians and the Jews in Jerusalem?? Is God preparing a delegation of Christians empowered by the spirit of John the Baptist ( N.T. witness to Christs coming) uniting with Jews empowered by the spirit of Elijah (O.T. prophet of the Lord) to go to Jerusalem to witness and prophesy before the coming of the Lord??? Once these people are killed, then raised to life after three and a half days, then called up to Heaven, could this possibly point to " the dead in Christ will rise first"?? (A visible sign to the world, yet those who have died previously would also go at this time, along with the rest of us) So many new questions I have now!! What I Do know for sure, is that 11:11 refers to the two witnesses.
