"1st Time Posting.. re: Glenn Beck"
Good day Doves. I have been reading for a
little over a year but have been studying prophecy for longer. A
friend directed me to the 5 Doves website and I've been enjoying the
straightforward posts ever since.
I have tried to
post before, but have had email trouble. I've been reading all
the comments/statment about Glenn Beck and could not pass up putting my
2 cents into it. Some of you say we should discount
GB. Some say his message of returning to our founding principles
and studying our founding fathers is not worth it. I
disagree. With both. I have felt the Spirit move in me when
he talks about things prophetic. Whether they be current events
or politics, I cannot help but feel God is using GB. I believe he
knows this but maybe since his religion does not teach awareness of the
Holy Spirit (I guess ... I don't know anything about Mormonism), he
doesn't know why he "hears" God talk to him. I believe he
prays and I believe he believes in Jesus as the Savior. Beyond
that, I don't know WHAT he believes but PRAISE GOD I don't have to be
the one determining his salvation. I have enough to worry about
w/ my own!
LIke the man the disciples called out for using
Jesus' name, Jesus says he is drawing people to HIM. The
disciples are told to leave the man alone. In my opinion, God is
bringing End Time events to the unsaved (and saved) through GB. He
brings evangelical pastors and Christian historians on to help explain
things. GB's drive to focus on the Constitution and the founding
fathers is, I believe, simply a tool God is using to show us how far
we've strayed from relying on Him. No wonder our government is
corrupt with little or no hope of redemption, there's been few modern
leaders who've openly spoken of God and their reliance and belief in
Him to help guide them in leadership.
It
makes me a bit angry and upset when people say mean things about
GB. God is using him. We may not like his religion or
agree with his life story, but he *is* being used... I know *I* feel
it. The rally on Saturday was amazing. I've never heard so
many references to God and Jesus as Lord an Savior spoken so openly in
a public arena before that *wasn't* being lead by a Christian
organization. If GB's program can lead just a few extra
people to a saving belief in Jesus, then isn't it worth it?
Give the man a break.
Thanks for letting me speak my mind.
