The Daily Communion Meal with believers, giving thanks to God, breaking bread, sharing meat and drink together is for the edification of the body of Christ!  And we are the body, spiritually!  And we have a body, physically!

There is also a fantastic book titled “None of these Diseases” that goes into much more detail:

And you cannot forget the following verse:

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.  Exodus 15:26

Regarding communion we are also warned of not sharing our food with others and the sin of gluttony when we partake of the food and drink with other believers.  :

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.  When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.  For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.  What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.  For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:  And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.  For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.  For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.  For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.  But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.  Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.  And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.  I Corinthians 11:19-34

What we put in our mouths does not make us unholy, but it can make us sick.  And how much we put in our mouths can also make us sick.  And if we cannot control our hunger we should stay If we come together to share food with those that do not have food, we should eat moderately.

However, there is an abomination that has crept into some churches that call themselves Christian.  They substitute the communion of believers with the practice of partaking of a wafer in the shape of the sun, on the day, named after the sun.  And they teach that through magical transubstantiation this wafer becomes the actual body of Jesus Christ.  Does this not turn them into cannibals, by the very definition of the word?  And through this same magical transubstantiation they teach that the small amount of wine they also administer, becomes the actual blood of Jesus Christ.  Which the drinking of any actual blood, is forbidden by God.

Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.  Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.  Leviticus 7:26-27

How more, are they indeed eating and drinking condemnation upon themselves.

Before thinking oneself better than participating in these abominations, search oneself and repent of any empty ceremonies, empty traditions, that substitute for communion with believers, giving thanks for what Jesus Christ has provided, not only spiritual life, but physical life.  That means what we need to live, namely everything that we eat and drink.  For all things were created through Jesus Christ.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  Colossians 1:16

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.  Revelation 4:11

So, be admonished not to accept any empty traditions as substitutes.  Just as you would not accept the empty tradition of sprinkling a baby with water to substitute for the life giving spirit baptism of Jesus Christ, through the laying on of hands.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.  Acts 19:4-6

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Acts 2:46
