It's insane the 'rules' they've set up for those who are 'qualified' for Food Stamps. My daughter moved back in the area and applied for them while looking for work. She also started taking college classes. She got a couple of months help, but then got hired part time at the County Library. They cut off her Food Stamps. The County is in a 'hiring freeze', not putting anyone on 'full time' (with benefits), so she doesn't have medical/dental insurance. She does not qualify for those through 'welfare' because she is NOT a 'single mother'.

The other (younger) daughter also applied when her sis did. She was not eligible because she was under 22 and lived on our property (not in our house, but in our studio apartment out back). She was told to come back after her birthday, since they were using OUR income at that time.

She did go back...and was told, 'sorry, since you are a full time student and don't work, you are not eligible.' HUH? She needs 'help', since she DOES go to school full time and no one in our area is hiring! She was told if she got a job that was over 20 hours a week & was still a full time student, then she'd get food stamps! Okay, if she could get a job, she would not NEED them! Meanwhile, the other daughter was hired with the 'deal' that she would get 18 hrs per week...yet they've had her work up to 40 a couple of times...they are careful to be inconsistant, so that she can not qualify for 'over 20 hrs' (and get food stamps), or 'over 32hrs' (to be legally 'full time').

Younger daughter was actually told by the 'case worker', 'if you stopped going to school, you'd be qualified'. She told the woman, 'that's stupid! I'm almost done with my degree!', the woman said, 'I agree, school is important, but you can't get food stamps if you are going full time' (btw, she HAS to enrolled full time to stay on our medical insurance).

It all boils down to this, if you are an unwed mother, who doesn't work or go to school, the government will give you money for food, free medical/dental, and even money for rent. If you are a responsible person, who just needs some help while you are trying to get on your feet...SORRY!! Exit is --------->

They are trying to create a whole generation of slaves that THEY control...it's really scary.
