When the oil well disaster happened, and
people speculated that this could be significant in 'killing one third
of the oceans', some 'pooh-poohed' the idea, since it didn't happen
immediately. We have to remember that our time is not God's time and
vice versa. This stuff is ongoing, and with something of this
magnitude, it can push things along faster.
Yes, a nuclear war,
or huge asteroid hitting the sea could do much more/quicker
damage...but if the end result is the same in the long run, as my mom
used to say, "same difference".
