"Anne Rice"

I've never read anything by Anne Rice, and I only know of her vampire movie (which bothered me that a child played such a sexual character). When I'd heard she'd become a Christian, I was happy and did a 'whew' for her. But, being the 'married to a cop/mom' I am, I questioned it...was it real? Or maybe just a publicity type thing to bring in more sales. How horrible am I, right? Wow. So sad that she seems to have been just giving lip service, or worse yet, she wasn't strong enough, or prepared and supported enough to resist the spiritual attack she had to have come under. Can you imagine the anger Satan felt when he saw that he 'lost one' so big at helping his agenda?
We can only pray that she can truly find the truth.
One thing she said in the little denunciation, the 'anti-gay' bit...I try to explain this to people all the time. Especially when we came up against the "God Hates Fags" people. God does not hate ANYONE...He can hate the actions/sins, but He loves 'the sinner'. *how lucky are we that we get what we don't deserve?*
My daughters have had gay friends, since they (my girls) promote abstinence, they encourage that in their friends...not actively, but just by example. So, just by association, the people they 'hang out with' find that they can have fun and 'party' in ways that don't include acts of 'sin'.
I honestly believe that 'homosexuality' is a birth defect in many cases. I've met some (related to some) who were not 'born gay', but became so when they had some childhood trauma (molestation/child abuse). But too many kids are obviously suffering from some imbalance in their chemical/hormonal make up. I know if 'the gay community' and those like Ms. Rice did not promote this 'lifestyle' as 'normal', we'd have people getting their kids checked out for these abnormalities. I have bad eyes, I wear glasses/contacts...I could 'go natural', the 'way God made me'...but if I tried to drive my car, I'd kill someone, be a danger to myself, it would be careless, dangerous and sinful to purposely ignore an obvious defect. The idea that a person 'is born that way' and should be able to 'be happy', when it comes to their sexual habits is just another lie of Satan. There are people who are born with birth defects that keep them from 'normal' activities, including sexual related ones. How many people are injured and unable to engage in normal relations? Should they pursue 'unnatural' behavior? No. Since sex outside of marriage is unacceptable to the Lord, and since 'marriage' is the binding of 'one man, one woman', then it just stands to reason that homosexual sex is unacceptable to God...just on the most basic level...they cannot 'marry', they cannot be 'blessed'. It's very simple. But try to tell a young adult that 'God doesn't want you to engage in that behavior', when the world is telling them it's okay, they are normal, just different. Satan loves to point out that it's God and His followers that want to take away their pleasure/happiness...so sad. I've tried to stress that 'being homosexual' (being sexually attracted to the same gender) is not 'the sin', it's the ACTION of engaging in those desires that is 'the sin'. I pray for all these young people, and hope they can find Christ and even if they never become 'normal' and desire people of the opposite sex, I pray they find happiness in an abstinent life. It's 'not fair', just like the person born blind or deaf experiences 'not fair' circumstances...it's just the reality of living in a fallen world.

Blessings~
