"To Gina re: why won't they wake up..."
This is something I've been talking about
with others for awhile. Well, since '08 at least, prior to that, I
would talk to my kids and husband...but it wasn't till Obama came on
the scene that I was shocked to know I wasn't alone in my feelings.
I
think part of it is this: Just as not all are called to be teachers,
healers, and so on, not all are called to be Watchmen. So, even though
they ARE Christian, and know the time is coming, they don't feel the
urgency, they just know that when it happens, they will be ready to
meet their Lord in the air. Until then, they are content to just go
along 'business as usual'. They are safe in the knowledge that they are
His, and they know He will come for them, they just are not 'called' to
spread the info, other than to be a silent witness by their lives in
Him.
One of my friends, who felt the same thing I did when Obama
stepped on the world stage, and also felt, just before the election
that he was 'supposed to win'...told me recently, 'there is nothing we
can do about what is supposed to happen, we can only pray for everyone,
and be ready'. That is how my kids/husband feel too. I wonder sometimes
if it's not ME who has a lack of faith that I get all riled up each
time something happens in the world that is another indicator and I get
all excited and try to point it out to others.
I guess the only
ones we need to worry about are the ones who think we are crazy,
because they don't think anything 'major' is going to happen. Maybe
that's where we need to direct our energies.
Blessings~
