"Re: Robert"
Hi Robert,
Well, I think most people
like to use the June 7, 1967 date b/c it takes us to Sept. 23, 2015
Feast Atonement/Yom Kippur when we factor in the 7 weeks (49yrs/17640
day) of Daniel 9, and b/c of that I think it stands out. It does not
seem that any other significant date such as this brings us to
Atonement of any year other that 6/7/67. However, the info. in your
post gives us a starting point of June 28, 1967. I was thinking about
this earlier and thought...echoing Matt M's post, there really was no
tangeble, concrete announcement by Israel or anyone for that matter to
restore and build Jerusalem on 6/7/67...that we can discern. Although
some prophecy experts highlight this date as the starting point for the
7 weeks countdown. The statement you have is from Menachim Begin and
says June 28, 1967...which is 21 days after the fact. So I got to
thinking, what if the command to restore and build Jerusalem came from
the Throne Room of God Himself?? I think its worth mentioning, the
initial prophecy came from the Father, went to the angel Gabriel, and
was given to Daniel. It only says, "that from the command to restore
and build Jerusalem, until Messiah the Prince"...it doesn't say by who,
although we assume a political leader.
I put myself in the
shoes of Israel at that time. They were fighting off a surprise attack
from all of their neighbors. The only thing (I think) that was in their
minds, and the minds of the troops was to defend the homeland. I
suggest that capturing Jerusalem was not priority number 1. But as it
turns out, the opposition was also coming out of Jerusalem via the
Jordanian side. And so as the troops advanced to fight that battle, the
next thing they knew...the enemy had retreated and all Jerusalem was
theirs...they stopped and looked at themselves and said, "How did this
just happen"? But it happened b/c the Father gave the command. 21 days
later Menachim Begin wrote to the President of Israel, "that Jerusalem
is one city indivisible, the capital of the state of Israel". And so
Jerusalem was restored and rebuilt...even during troublesome times,
such that today it is a thriving metropolis of approx. 800,000 people.
This is my speculation, and just a thought, but seems to make sense.
And
so then 7 weeks/ 49 yrs/ 17640 day from that date, we arrive at
September 23, 2015 which is the Feast of Atonement/Yom Kippur.
Hopefully not to long...Take it easy...
