Hi all,The fundamental base of the 2008-15 timeframe is Daniel 9:24-27 and the 7 weeks. Christ returns 7 weeks, which is 49 Hebrew years, 17460 days, "from the command to restore and build Jerusalem". That 17460 days takes us to Feast of Atonement/Yom Kippur Sept. 23, 2015. End of story. There is no other date by which you can count the 7 weeks, and therefore no other date for Christ's return other than Sept. 23, 2015. Of course, we can always add our own spin to things by attempting to count from May 14, 1948 when Israel became a nation, or maybe guessing the Jubilee year, but its not sound. You cant use May 14, 1948 as a starting point because the 7 weeks of Dan 9:24-27 was to commence from the command to restore and build Jerusalem, not when Israel became a nation. As for Jubilee, it has to be based on something we cant just pull it out of the air. And the most reliable source for determining the Jubilee is to consider the Shmita year which is currently observed by Rabbis in Israel. As it turns out the past 2 Shmita's were 2000-01, 2007-08, and the next one is 2014-15....with the next year possibly being that 50th year starting September 23, 2015! and running through to the day before Atonement 2016.If your going to make a statement or generate a date it has to be based on something. Forget the Jubilee for a second, 7 weeks, or 17460 days from Jerusalem being captured by Israel on June 7, 1967 takes us to feast of Atonement September, 23, 2015! Period! As it turns out, it appears based off of the current counting of Shmita, that the 49th year ends on Sept. 22, 2015, making September 23, 2015 the first day of Jubilee...and lasting into 2016.So then for some of you who apparently insist on criticizing my posts, claiming that the Shmita year is a scheme, or that 2017 has to be the year. Where on earth do you get these figures from? Its certaintly not based on the 7 weeks of Daniel 9:24-27. Which is strange because if you want know when Christ will return, you go to the prophecy which gives you the time he will return!...Daniel 9:24,25 which says 7 weeks from the command to restore and build Jerusalem...and that occurred on June 7, 1967...no other date!! So does 2 + 2 now equal 5?If 2017, then why not 2020, or even 2100...its a nice even date, and also the start of a new century...and I bet the "dooms-dayers" of 1899 would agree! But the problem is it is not based on the 7 weeks of Daniel 9:24,25. It reminds me of a couple years ago when Forbes magazine was interviewing a Treasury spokeswoman about the size and reason for the 700 billion dollar bailout for the banks, she said, "It really was not based on any data point, we just wanted to come up with a really big number"! Apparently some of us also got a little treasury in us to.So, lets look at 2017, September 30, 2017 Feast Atonement/Yom Kippur. So lets subtract 7 weeks, 49 Hebrew years, 17460 day....and we get...December 11, 1969. What happened on this date...absolutely nothing. It wasn't even on Hanukah which occurred the week prior! Conclusion: The idea that Christ returns on Atonement 2017 is based on nothing! Lets now look at Atonement 2018, September 19, 2018 minus 17460 days...and we get November 30, 1970. What happened on this date...absolutely nothing! Actually British Caledonian Airways Ltd. was formed. So I guess the 7 weeks of Daniel pointing to Christ return on 2018 started with the birth of a British airliner...perfect! Is Christ returning on Atonement of 2016? Lets see October 12, 2016 minus 17460 days brings us to December 23, 1968...what happened on this date...absolutely nothing...well actually, it was 2 days before Christmas, so maybe theres something? I'm sure!!Ultimately, the ONLY time, shall I repeat, the ONLY time, you can apply the 7 weeks of Daniel, which start from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, is when you use June 7, 1967 as a starting point...and you mysteriously end up 17460 days later at feast Atonement Sept 23, 2015. Coincidentally, the 49th shmita ended the day before, with Sept. 23 marking the start of the 50th year. This is a prophecy forum where people are free to post their ideas on "end-time" topics. Not everyone is going to agree with everyone else, but if your going to take the time to criticize some else's work or idea, or a groups idea, be prepared to get shot back at. If you like someone's post, then say so, but if don't, then hold your peace!Stefen Lopez
