Dear Chris - I have posted on Five Doves maybe two times, but I read almost every day.  The site so blesses my soul.  To know that I have brothers and sisters who understand my love for the Lord, and to know that I will be united with them in Jesus some day, is such a wonderful and joyful feeling.
 
I want to take a moment to tell you that your post about what God did after your fast and during your daily runs touched my soul.  I cried longing for such an experience.  Your story has inspired me to fast as well; I have been sensing the need to fast anyway.  The desire in my heart has been to hear from my Lord and to hear clearly just as we walk together every day.  I have also been asking Him for a dream about our love relationship.
 
I also wanted to encourage you and tell that I too have had a similar experience before with hurting badly over a relationship.  When I did surrender all to Jesus, He filled the void in every aspect and I only constantly longed to spend time with Him.  Only then, when we're alone and vulnerable, can He reach us in the way He reached you and the way He reached me.  I am sure that why Paul encourage singlesness -- I certainly understand it!!
 
Again, thank you Chris for sharing your experience.  It was wonderful and very inspiring,  I pray that you continue to surrender your heart only to Jesus; He will cleanse it of all unrighteousness, make it strong in His might, and give it a desire for only purity.
