I noticed that one of the first things mentioned by Anne Rice was that she refused to be anti gay.  Homosexuality is destroying our moral fiber and we were warned in both the Old Testament and the New Testament about this abomination.  Many have gone from following God's Word to following their "feelings."  Its satan at work, just as in the garden of Eden when he successfully convinced the woman that she could eat from the tree and not die, as God had said.  I saw recently where the Episcopal church is working on rites for same sex couples, and some churches are ordaining gay priests.  But to be fair, there is also an epidimic of adultery in many of the other churches and the sex sins are taking their toll.  The gospel is now watered down, the blood atonement is missing from the message and Jesus is pictured as an example rather than a saviour.  Its the end times gospel and the masses are flocking to hear it and the feel good messages feed into their "feelings" just that much more as they then select their own morality.  I call them "philosophical" christians and they are far different than born again christians.  You can't try on Jesus like you would a shirt and then discard Him when you begin to be lured into a worldly, sexual, satanic trap based on feelings and situational ethics.
 
The world is full of glitz and glitter, especially for the rich and famous who are worshipped by many, and that glitz and glitter will one day fade away, and then where will that person turn?
 
I believe a true christian might at times have some doubts and questions, but I do not believe that a true christian would ever renounce the faith.  Only those who were "practicing" christianity, not living it.
